Reefkid88
oh man why did you pass on the orange passion? what was the price tag on that? i've got a cadlight 12g tank i got for free and took out the back wall i'm planning on doing a mh/t5 fixture on. i've never had one but see to many pics of tank that did and want to give it a shot. now its time to get the bulb combination down. lolI've really thought about doing a 150w halide with a radium 20k over my 7 gallon lol. Super over kill though hahaha. The Orange Passion was $40 for 3/4" frag. Which isn't bad,RRUSA sells them for $250-$300 lol. It was a freshly cut piece was fragged just a few days prior to me seeing it,so that stopped me from getting,I'm going to get a frag of PC Rainbow as well. Link to comment

D Z
That's what mahi mahi looks like IRL? LOL, Kat. Beautiful fish, isn't it? I always find it awkward talking about fishing on this forum. Don't get me wrong, and Alex you already know this about me, I love fishing. Most of the fishing that I do, which now a days is almost none, is with the intent to consume(while it is fun, I am not big into game fishing). Even knowing the major difference between fish that I would normally target while fishing and reef fish, I still find it so weird to talk about fishing on this forum. Anyone else? Link to comment

I prefer to keep the schoolies though, and let the big ones live. Every once in a while I will keep a cow, but stick to schoolies and gaffers. LOL, Kat. Beautiful fish, isn't it? I think most can seperate the lines. I've been on the water my whole life. I enjoy every part of it. Boating, fishing, diving, even keeping reef tanks! It's not like we're fishing for tangs and wrasses..lol... Link to comment

Alex B
Haven't posted pics in a long time...nothing special, but I did some work today. Corals seem to have acclimated to the new lighting so I lowered it a little bit. The center overflow has also been driving me nuts! I love clear backs, but it looks weird with a center overflow. I decided to grab some black window tint and go to town. Water is a little cloudy (was cleaning the pumps) but here is a couple fts. This is with only the 2 actinics on. I need to get with Dave and get some leds on here. I miss my shimmer a lot. Well let me know what u guys think of the black background! https://www.flickr.com/photos/123509535@N06/15400147576/'> https://www.flickr.com/photos/123509535@N06/15400147576/'>DSC_0046 by https://www.flickr.com/people/123509535@N06/'>touchofklasse, on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/123509535@N06/15236555280/'> https://www.flickr.com/photos/123509535@N06/15236555280/'>DSC_0049 by https://www.flickr.com/people/123509535@N06/'>touchofklasse, on Flickr Link to comment

Alex B
Looks good... Cough cough still shoulda kept the nano box This will have some Nanobox goodness in it too!! I wanted to be able to play with bulb color a little more. I also wanted to minimize the spillage a little bit. It was either buy a Ati and retro it, or add more t5 to the nanobox. If I added more t5 I would have needed a canopy for the nanobox. I think a canopy would have killed the look a bit. I'll also be the first one to admit I'm not very experienced with leds. The controllability is a gift and a curse. It's much harder with Sps also. I think a hybrid is the best of both worlds! I simply wanted to have t5 as the main lighting and LED as the supplement. Kind of like the Ati powermodule led. Link to comment

Alex B
Where's the return, I can't see it It's up top. I guess it blends in with the black back now. Is it the exposure or is it really that dark ? Shit Looks awesome though man, kudos. It's that dark. I took the pictures with only my 2 actinic bulbs on. I use them for sunrise/sunset. Actinic bulbs are very dim to the eye, but make corals pop. With all 8 bulbs on its BRIGHT!! Link to comment
