seabass Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 It's expensive. I also use their alkalinity and phosphorus checkers. Since testing ultra low ranges of phosphate is difficult for many test kits, it makes sense to me to pay $50 for their phosphorus checker. However, I don't see nitrate as being that hard to test for, and getting the exact value doesn't seem as important. IDK, I think it's pretty new. Let us know if you decide to get it, and how you like it. However, I'll probably continue to use cheaper color match kits for nitrate. Link to comment
drfu Posted March 3, 2014 Author Share Posted March 3, 2014 I spoke to them today, it will not work properly w/sw, only fw so thats out! Just not a fan of color charts, even my Salifert i think is still tough to accurately tell if you are at 2.5 or 20 ppm. I love my checkers, still can make a mistake w/reagents i guess but no guessing on colors! Link to comment

I've been researching tests kit's and there's many users that aave had mixed results with accuracy. One club bought several brands and it was very surprising to find out that they all read different numbers, and some weren't even close ! Link to comment
