25 Gallon Cube Reef

The urge to upgrade has struck! In December I was debating whether or not to upgrade from an 8 gallon to something a little larger. Well on January 3^rd I bit the bullet and purchased the Mr. Aqua 18x18x18 rimless cube, it is approximately 25 gallons. And then from there it’s all downhill from a financial stand point as any hobbyist knows. Needless to say my bank account hated me for a while, but I just kept telling myself “if you are going to do something you might as well do it right.” Unfortunately the tank isn’t set up yet but it will hopefully be up and running with at least water by the end of February.

 

Setup:

-25 Gallon Mr. Aqua Cube

-DIY Stand

-10 Gallon Sump

-Drilled overflow & two returns (glassholes.com)

Equiptment:

Lighting: With hanging kit, 18 inch panel, and ecoxotic lighting controller.

-Ecoxotic Blue/White panorama pros x3

-Ecoxotic Royal Blue Panorama Pros x2

-Ecoxotic Magenta Stunner strips x2

Circulation:

-Vortec Mp10w ES

-Reef Octopus Diablo DC water pump (DC-3500) (For the return)

-Koralia Nano 425 (it’s in my 8 gallon now but I probably won’t use it.)

Filtration:

-filter sock

-ASM Mini G Skimmer

-Sponge bubble trap thing

Random:

-Bubble Magus Dosing Pump (3 Heads)
