Sneltyr
9 gallon with 2 Ocellaris Clowns, 1 tank bred Seahorse & 1 BRF shrimp. Woke up this morning to a clown covered in white dots. The other clown has dots but not as many. Can I get some suggestions on a quick emergency QT. It will have to be a bucket or tub for a day or two as I don't have a 10g sitting around. I've got an extra filter, heater. Do I need to treat the SeaHorse & Shrimp too? Thanks Much a for any help. Link to comment
Reefporn
I had this happen a year ago. I fresh water dipped them for maybe 2 minutes and it went away, never to return. Link to comment
kmaintl
if they are not stressed, freshwater dip will relieve the symptoms but not always cure it. clowns can actually handle 5 to 10 minutes easily and I've heard some drip as long as 40 minutes. I like to do 10 minutes and watch them the whole time. best to treat them in a small hospital tank and leave the main tank farrow. increase temp, use air stone and copper or chloroquine phosphate.
