so the Hydor Deflector didn't work for me cuz my rock is so high that it creates too strong of a flow when it hits the top of the rock. I do like it that it actually created more flow than the stock return. You mentioned you filed the stock return. Can you tell me exactly what you used to file it down so it doesn't block as much flow? If I remove the stock return and just run it with no nozzle, the flow is AWESOME but I want to be able to angle and direct it with the stock return.

I took a small flat metal file and a half round one that could fit inside the nozzle and file out some material and made it more open and the flow improved. Also i took a match and heated the plastic on the flared end and carefully opened the mouth a bit. With the MJ 606 pump it ended up being too much flow but was nice. might be perfect with the stock pump.

Went to Petco today for a snail because my real LFS was closed. They had a huge frag of these pinkish zoas and one head had broken off on a little chunk. I asked if i can buy it but they said no it goes with the big one. Then they casually threw it in the bag with the snail and said don't ask don't tell. Score!

Hope he does well!

Is it just a pink zoa? or people eater?

Not quite sure either, I have a mini colony of some pink polyps myself that are bigger than your average zoa.

I made a choice and traded back my Bicolor Blenny to reduce my bioload and fix my nitrate problem. I did get the LFS to trade for a small Torch Coral. I think its a Gold Torch and he gave it to me as a normal torch (See Photo)

Added some new corals and got great deals.

This one was a chunk in the tank at Petco and I talked the employee into throwing it in the bag with a snail I was buying! Score!

I think its a Gold Torch. Paid less then 15 with trade!

This tank is amazing! I'm also building a Fluval Spec V in the near future and this new time lapse video you've created really inspired me to make something very similar! Great work man.

Sorry its been a while with updates. Traded some corals and moved things around. Added a new polyp coral and a small neon green tube anemone. Pretty cool and unusual. Ill post pics soon.

New Photo dump!

wanted to get a better look out of my light so I had some color gels from speedlights and taped them over some of the bulbs. Worked really well. In person it has a much prettier look!

Hoping to soon be moving over to a bigger tank. I love the new IM Fusion 20 and the size and price is great. Hope to get one soon and be upgrading to dimmable full spectrum LEDs!

Just got two corals from Unique Coral today. I tried my first SPS, Pink and Green Damicornus, and Montipora Digitata Blue Polyp. So far so good. They seemed to be hardy so I thought it would be a good entry to the SPS world. Hope things work with them. Pictures coming soon.

Sad day. My yellow watchmen goby fell victom to my tube anemone today. RIP buddy. I will be trading the anemone for a orange stripe goby and candy cane pistol shrimp.

Noticed the powerhead, did you need more flow? I'm getting a list of equipment together to start mine next month and was wondering if I need the spin stream and a power head or just a power head with the 606? Thank you
