eBay white sand....worth it?

it's quartz sand, I'd probably try to find something that is aragonite, like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-LIVE-SAND-on-eBay-REAL-PURE-WHITE-Crystal-Reef-Aragonite-Aquarium-Sand-/150973316430?pt=Decorations&var=450149279102&hash=item2326b5fd4e

keep in mind this is a very fine substrate.. if you plan to have higher flow in the tank you're going to want larger grain size.

here is another: http://www.ebay.com/itm/87-LB-PURE-WHITE-CARIBBEAN-ARAGONITE-LIVE-SAND-LIVE-SAND-CORAL-MARINE-/121076539187?pt=Decorations&var=420125806070&hash=item1c30b95f33

Reefcleaners use to sell sand that got good reviews, but it looks like he took it off his website.

I have to say this is my favorite sand I've used yet, and is recommended by pretty much anyone that uses it. http://premiumaquatics.com/aquatic-supplies/TE-TE03616R30.html

I wouldn't cheap out and get quarts sand, I'd get aragonite, and I'd look for a little larger grain size. the reefflakes link I posted, that stuff is a little larger sand, but it doesn't stir up and make a mess when I turn my powerheads up.

Quartz sand is not normally used in reef tanks and most who have used fine sand have not been very happy nor have their aquariums. I stick with aragonite based sands in the 1-2 mm size.

Thanks for the advice. I was given a bunch of aragonite for free from a local reefer here in AZ

looks good.. very interesting scape, what do you plan to fill it with?
