Reefkid88
Oh that reactor is bad ass !!! How much did it cost you in supplies ? Link to comment
Adam_Bobomb
edit: More accurate Tube was a little under $4 Acrylic glue was $4 Rubber grommets were $2 Loc-line was free in my loc-line order Black abs was scrap for free Circle acrylic was from scrap so free Foam was with the tank package Eheim 300 was leftover from an earlier order [$20 at the moment on brs] So ~$30 + a couple hours of labor. Adam_Bobomb
Got a nice order last week. Here's what I got done. I was really struggling on how to make the right angle from the pump to the return without another trip to the store. I cut the tube at a 45 degree and simply glued the two together at a 90. So far so good. I'll keep an eye on it over time and maybe replace with a better solution. Okay, so the cap of the original pump screws into the 1/4" loc-line. so I put a rubber gourmet on either side and then connected the tube to that. All gravy Working on a second version of reactor. using some smoked acrylic on some of it. I'm experimenting with making some silicon seals for the reactor. I'll post when those are completed if it works. Did some test scaping last night. gonna try and finalize by monday. Sounds like I should be getting my light this next week?!?! Link to comment
Adam_Bobomb
Not a lot of room to scape. Link to comment

I purchased another name brand and it stuck out the top and the options for where to put it were slim. Very nice DIY skills.Well done. I like the altern-8 avatar! Great ! Good Luck with your build. SouthFlorida_Tron
Im thrilled with the 100w on my cad 34... so hopefully it'll do the trick for the few times of year ill be using it! I may have to consider selling my 100w for 2 50w as the water at my current setting only comes to just below the temp led display on the 100w, so maybe 2 50w will fit better at only 6"... Well, considering also i am pulling it out soon as the cold is finally leaving for a floridian summer... Link to comment

SouthFlorida_Tron
So I'm falling victim of the slow return pump, maybe Ill be needing just a bit more turnover, was the outlet of that return you upgraded able to fit through the return hole? or you opted for your method? Link to comment
