discolored patch of skin on clownfish

Hello all,

2 clowns in my tank. both had been properly quarantined prior to introduction to the display.

All corals are dipped in coral RX prior to introduction.

My female clownfish had developed an almost transparent patch of skin on the underside of her belly about a week and a half ago. I decided to not worry and just continue feeding and keeping water parameters in check. As of YESTERDAY I saw both clowns scrapping against objects (random objects throughout the tank - meaning i don't think they are trying to clean a spot for laying eggs). As of TODAY, I see the same discolored patch of skin on the TOP of my female clown. I've ruled out brooks since i thought brooks disease kill clownfish quick?

Other then the brief moment of scrapping objects, the clowns act normal and eat well. The clowns have been in my possession for a little over 4 months with no signs of white film nor ich spots.

Can someone please tell me what the patch is and if i need to take any actions?

taking pictures for 15 minutes straight, this is seriously the best out of the batch

thanks! i found this picture that most closely matched my clownfish. I'm not sure where i would be able to get formalin as my LFS doesn't carry it.. Hopefully a series of ph-adjusted freshwater bath with methylene blue will help.

im hesitant to think its uronema since my clown has has had the clearish spot underneath for a week and a half now? i read in another thread that uronema will kill very quickly so hopefully this isn't what I'm dealing with..

No irritation to eyes and the discolored patch is simply less white then the surrounding areas. i guess its not uronema since my fish act perfectly fine and the discolored patch isn't fleshy/red like the picture in post #3. Yesterday I did a pH and temp matched freshwater dip with methylene blue and the clown took it really well. I read that troubled fish usually lay on their side during the dipping process but my clown simply kept swimming around as if he wasn't even in freshwater. No signs of flukes or parasites in the left over dip water.

I'm hoping its nothing too serious as the fish has lived this long after the first sign of discolored patch of skin. They are both still eating like pigs as well.

Do you have a anemone? Perhaps it is a sting? I can't tell from the pic.

yup, i have 4 bubble tips and several torches as well. the slightly discolored white patch is still on the female clown but all is well! eats well and behaves like normal. I've done a total of 5 dips with methylene blue. never saw anything fall off or any parasites in my leftover water.
