Lalani
So I ended up getting a Red Sea reef foundation pro test kit and a fiji purple bulb during that visit, but I'll get some free frags as well next time I go to that LFS. Finally got some new shots! Everything is looking great, got away from yesterday's meet with only a little orange plate, lol. Today a friend gave me pink chalice and bird of paradise birdsnest frags! In the actinic only shots, I had given away a few extra pieces so I have a tiny bit more room.. can't really tell. This week I'll try to work on the scape. I've been fussed at for my red monti placement, so going to have to move it lower and toward the back somewhere... hmmm. 9 Quote Link to comment

Steelen
I love how the GSP and the plate look. Would be amazing if the plate grow down over the side of the rock. My friend has this. I could be mistaken if it a plate at all. Here is the picture of it (its one part of this 290g tank): 3 Quote Link to comment

I know a local reefer who has been looking for plating blue sponge like that. 1 Quote Link to comment

I kinda think I got the orange yumas from Richie (needreefunds) back in '09 or '10, but not really sure. Its been a while! Every time it looks like it's warming up, the weather is all lol yeah yeah, I'll hang onto it for you still dat orange plate Its sooooo cuuuuuute! I had to put it under the shade of the red monti cap cuz it was getting too much light up front. Under daylights its all orange, but under actinics it has a purple rim 1 Quote Link to comment

Lalani
is 76 too cold for SPS?? Ermergerd, I keep getting asked that... no, 76 is not too cold for SPS if thats what you keep your tank at. My tank temp dropped lower than that overnight, from 79 the previous day, and SPS can't handle large swings like that. The temp just happened to be back up to 76 when I checked it the morning after the transfer after the central heating had kicked on a few hours before.. 1 Quote Link to comment

Also have my eye on a mental hospital that I want to attempt. I know righ?! Crazy thing is one day it is 50 degrees and the next its -30 degrees.. Its worked out I've had to work the warm days, so no urbex. Good ole Iowa weather, makes me miss Colorado.. I've heard good things about the Six Flags, would love to see that place some day. Mental hospitals are my favorite! Last year I lucked out when a friend and his dad were hired to renovate a local childrens mental hospital. I got to check out the whole place before they cleaned it out! The 12th floor was a giant indoor playground with a plastic ball pit. Very eerie and amazing place. Love your photos as always! Those feathers are way cooler than the tiny white ones I have. Quote Link to comment
Lalani
Aww, sorry you haven't been able to. Six Flags is amazing, but they're talking about what to do with the place again. Might not be there much longer! That mental hospital sounds great. I gotta go check mine out! lol Thanks man, here are some new shots: Finally got around to playing with scaping today. Still not finished, but its looking better already! Once I get rid of the giant mat of star polyps on the sandbed on the right, I'll have even more clean sandbed.
