I've lost count of how many tanks I've been through, but here's the latest one!
Upgrade from my packed 10gal.

Updated FTS September 2014:

The night after I did the transfer the temperature must have dropped quite a bit, seeing as how the heater was only 50w and was calibrated for half the gallonage. I was so tired I didn't think about that before going to bed. In the morning I found the temp at 76F and a couple of the SPS pieces dead and a couple of others very stressed. :(
Edit: People keep asking if 76 is too cold for SPS...

Ermergerd, I keep getting asked that... no, 76 is not too cold for SPS if thats what you keep your tank at. My tank temp dropped lower than that overnight, from 79 the previous day, and SPS can't handle large swings like that. The temp just happened to be back up to 76 when I checked it the morning after the transfer after the central heating had kicked on a few hours before..

But, I'm not giving up on SPS yet. The monti caps are doing alright and the setosa and garf bonsai are hanging in there. I'll just have to buy some more frags from Maria!

This is a work-in-progress! I need to get all the frags off the sandbed and onto the rocks. I'll probably also add a AC20 with a surface skimmer. As of right now, the middle column is nicknamed Mount Doom (or Death Mountain) but hopefully in the future it will become Redemption Island.

Thanks, it was a very lucky shot! I had taken about 10 out of focus shots of him then he paused to do that just long enough. :)

Amazing looking tank! Cannot wait to see this grow out like your 10gal, Lalani :-)

Me neither! But I might end up moving and upgrading before it grows out too much, we shall see!

Still can't believe all that stuff was in the 10! [pushes buttons]

Haha, yeah, the 10gal was friggin' packed tight! Got a little breathing room now. Might be buying a purdy plate from a local reefer soon! Last weekend we had a local reef club meet at an LFS and the owner saw the pics I took while I was there. He's asked me to go back and take more pics in exchange for livestock. :D

What to get, what to get...
