I made the mistake of having the sticker on my back panel my last tank and it drove me nuts. What are your plans for the sump? Lighting? Equipment? It's looking pretty good so far, looks similar to my stand. Link to comment

I plan on running 2 Kessil 15k again like i had on my old 30breeder. Most likely going to get one of those WP-25 for flow in the tank and havnt picked the return pump yet if I dont have my old Rio still around. Link to comment

I am going sps only so I would like to put 2x250 hqi. It just seems like it would get a little hot. I'm using a 40b for a sump. Link to comment

I had 2 kessil a150w 15k on my previous 30 breeder and loved the color. so I will be using same setup on this one. PeTe PoLyP Posted January 6, 2014 Share Posted January 6, 2014 I have one wp25 in my 29g. I will be going with a barebottom setup and using 2 in the 40. If it had a sandbed it would quickly become a snow globe. I think you will be very happy with the wp25 Link to comment

The glass will bond better with the silicone. I was able to find one that got me 5 baffles for a 20L sump for $20. Link to comment

I was able to find one that got me 5 baffles for a 20L sump for $20. Acrylic doesn't actually bond to glass...it just holds it in place. I know some do it but i'll stick to glass. Yay! 40B! I like my WP25 in my 40B but it has to be on low or else sandstorm. I'm considering swapping it out for two WP10's when I get the cash. Any ideas on stocking? Link to comment
GHill762 Posted January 6, 2014 Share Posted January 6, 2014 I've used silione on acrylic for my last two sumps, it's holds on tight to the acrylic (just as tight as glass) whether you want to call it "bonding" or not.. acrylic is just fine, people make too big of a deal about it. Link to comment

My 40 breeder was setup with tap water, same problem. I now run 3 tanks which may or may not be a cure for boredom. I always figured if I ran a single tank I would get bored with it once everything was setup. I really like the scape on your old 75. Unfortunately my scaping is more haphazard and utility. I need a place to put something, a rock fits there, and done. Link to comment
