Looks like a good build. May I suggest Tropic Edan Reeflakes for your sand? I used this stuff and I love it! What do you plan on keeping in this tank? I love shallow cubes.

Wow guys thanks for the quick responses!

Hmm I have heard a ton about those! Aren't small...but not too small?

The list will Come real Soon! But if you have any suggestions I'll keep it in mind!

But the tank will be LPS dominated! With some zoas thrown in and mabey some SPS... :haha:

We will have to see...

So do I just love the clean look and simplicity of it!

Can you provide more details on the cabinet/stand? That looks like it would work for my 20 long build too. Is it a kitchen base cabinet or something else?

Link to comment

Yes! It is you got it right on! The stand is 30 W x 34.5 H x 24 D!

Me and my Grandfather worked on it! We had to add the trimmings, face and Top!

We are hopefully going to be adding around 1/2 inch slab of granite just to finish it off!

Everything looks great! I use CaribSea Ari-Alive Fiji Pink for the sand choice and like it. For live rock, you can get cured live rock. I like to get them locally so I can choose the size and shape I want. Cured live rock will accelerate cycling process without introducing unwanted algae/critters to your tank, if you can, get the ones with coralline algae on them. A lot of people here choose to use dry rock instead of live rock, that's another way to go too.

Nice, thanks, this will save me from trying to build something the wife will allow in the house!

Thats what I am here for!

You really don't need much to cure dry rock, just a powerhead is enough. You have live sand, that will help. Some people put a piece of shrimp or fish meat to accelerate the process.

Hello Again...

Livestock- Ok so I decided I didn't want to give anything away. So, I will just tell you that LPS will be my main focus

I will have a Zoanithid garden

I will have a Florida Ricordea Garden

Some SPS mixed in, but then may start to heavily stock SPS if I have good results with keeping it!

For fish I will be keeping

  • ORA designer clown - Either Picasso, snowflake or Platinum

Remember to be on the look out for a real update!
