SouthFlorida_Tron
If I buy new frags, say from the lfs, and I don't have any dip, can I use Rodi? Would it have the same effect on hitchhikers without harming the coral? Quote Link to comment
jedimasterben
While it would work against some baddies, it won't work against everything. Quote Link to comment
SouthFlorida_Tron
So I should order some rx dip? Quote Link to comment
markalot
Bayer is the only thing that should be used for dipping Acros IMO. 1 Quote Link to comment

SouthFlorida_Tron
Taking my chance on an aquacultured colony for a nice price from the LFS... Pics soon! Quote Link to comment
SouthFlorida_Tron
Well, here it is, the new colony I found for a steal from the LFS... Only $80 (what i thought was a steal) and its beautiful... deep green and blues, at night the blue coralites really extend... its acclimating on the sandbed in the corner at the moment... Any feedback on how long to leave it there before moving to its perch? Did I do good?? https://flic.kr/p/pY1Qut'>https://flic.kr/p/pY1Qut'>Acro Colony by https://www.flickr.com/people/66620096@N02/'>J.L Photography, on Flickr https://flic.kr/p/qCkY1F'>https://flic.kr/p/qCkY1F'>Coralites by https://www.flickr.com/people/66620096@N02/'>J.L Photography, on Flickr 1 Quote Link to comment

I'd much rather quit the hobby than fund their name/brand whoring out chop shop owning asses. Just saying. And Tron, sick pick up brother. That's not a bad price either. I'd love to see that thing under some different lighting. Looks really nice though 1 Quote Link to comment

buddythelion
Sweet pick up! I'd get that base out of your tank ASAP though. Those are infamous for having AEFW. 1 Quote Link to comment
SouthFlorida_Tron
Please don't tell me that... It's fully grown onto the base. The store does dip all corals though Quote Link to comment
Reefkid88
you can never be too cautious man. No matter if they dip, you've gotta dip it lol better be safe then sorry. It should color up nicely under your lights man. Quote Link to comment

lilmatty5dimes
Friend just pictured this it's a wwc sugar momma chalice. Wha da fuq ? I literally Lol'd. So true though. Looks really nice though Your talking about the wwc jelly bean chalice. They have one on their eBay auction right now. It went for about $850+. This one is already pretty high. Quote Link to comment
buddythelion
Please don't tell me that... It's fully grown onto the base. The store does dip all corals though Dips don't kill AEFW eggs. I'd snap it off, I've seen way too many AEFW on those mari acros. Saving some base encrustment isn't worth the tank being infected. They're farmed out in the ocean and if one of those acros has AEFW, then it's like a breeding farm for those flatworms. Quote Link to comment
SouthFlorida_Tron
Man, that thing is so bulky at the base, not sure how i would get it off without damaging it.... Quote Link to comment
Reefkid88
A pair of branch cutters would do lmao. Quote Link to comment

lilmatty5dimes
Lol. He said something about another piece half the size in the back room Lou still had. Said he did some wheeling and dealing for this one but with the other one half the size piece would be about $1200-1500. Damn wish I could have that cash to build a whole new set up. Seriously though... So not needed. That's some peoples mortgages lol. For real,if anything I'd use that to build a badass setup or 10+ frags, not one booger sized chalice lol. 1 Quote Link to comment
