SouthFlorida_Tron
IM READY TO SMASH THIS CAD LIGHTS PLS-50 SKIMMER TO PIECES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DLIFUSHGIRHF;OIJQ34P89R72 All I'm getting is a complete mess of micro bubbles just splashing around in the reaction chamber, wtf do i need to do to get some foam head in this thing.... i cleaned and re-did the proper settings, finally got it re-broken in.... I had a beautiful foam head going and some skim mate started to form for a few days then i went to open my sliding doors, there must have been a humidity change, and all of a sudden its back to swash buckling bubble popping crap bubbles..... this skimmer is so ever slightly sensitive and its frustrating..... Look into a Aquamaxx WS-1. http://m.marinedepot.com/products/uj00189/aquamaxx-ws-1-in-sump-protein-skimmer Interesting... i wonder how finicky or sensitive it is? My biggest beef with the cad lights, is how sensitive it is to adjust... they tried to make it easy to rotate to adjust the levels but in reality, you touch it, and the water level moved 2 inches....!!!???? the bracket that holds it to the glass is loose, it shakes, it moves on its own, the thing is always crooked.... I'm just over it... EDIT: just checked the water level in the back sump, wont work.... only 6.5" and needs 8-10"... Quote Link to comment
