Passaggper
Sounds awesome! I have been thinking of going to the AI nano and using my kessil gooseneck. It's a great idea. I have the PicOII AIO. Link to comment
Reefergirl82
The gooseneck with the nano actually looks pretty slick. I just used a tiny bit of black electrical tape to the wires to the back side of the gooseneck. You would never know they even existed just by looking at it. Link to comment
Reefergirl82
So I'm planning on doing the tank transfer this weekend. Any tips on making the transition easiest on my corals and livestock? I'm moving them from a 7.5g to around 18g (including sump). Thanks! Link to comment
Illuiix
Tank looks great! Did you order the naked picO series with painted background or did you paint that back glass yourself? Link to comment
Reefergirl82
Thanks! Chris at Pico Aquariums painted it, drilled it and made the overflow box for me. Their customer service is excellent. Link to comment
Illuiix
I see. Reason why I asked is because I plan to switch out my tank for a picO naked 14 x 14 x 14 cube sometime next yr, and to have the back painted black by Chris would be awesome!! Let the pros do it. Link to comment
Reefergirl82
I agree to let the pros do it:) The overflow, seams and black back are all impecabbly done. Finally got the tank up and running last night. Added some live rock and a little sand from my current setup. I'll get some pictures up tonight. Link to comment
gqlmao
That's very neat with how that reactor is plumbed, is there any concern with having too much flow in that reactor or is there a by pass for the majority of it? Link to comment
Reefergirl82
The reactor is hanging off the back of the sump and plumbed into the return line. The white ball valve regulates the flow into the reactor and it took some tweaking but its working:) Link to comment
Reefergirl82
A little update on my progress. I transferred some liverock and a few zoas from my old tank over the weekend. Planning on rearranging the rockscape and finishing the transfer of corals in a few weeks. http://s1298.photobucket.com/user/sophievonhenkle/media/IMG_2170_zpsea0c286b.jpg.html'> http://s1298.photobucket.com/user/sophievonhenkle/media/IMG_2169_zps2664b1a9.jpg.html'> http://s1298.photobucket.com/user/sophievonhenkle/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsb9642be6.jpg.html'> Link to comment
Illuiix
Why not just use the regular Ai mount? Link to comment
opaquelace
Looks very clean and nice. Will be following along! Link to comment
Reefergirl82
Why not just use the regular Ai mount? I hadn't thought about going back to it... It would probably look nicer on this tank than the gooseneck actually. I had made the switch with the smaller tank because I could center the light with it Link to comment
Illuiix
Actually it would be close to center if you switch to the ai stock mount, I believe so. Link to comment
Reefergirl82
I'm going to do it!! Link to comment
Reefergirl82
Thanks for the suggestion llluiix, looks much better with the ai mount URL=http://s1298.photobucket.com/user/sophievonhenkle/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps3e2b6843.jpg.html][/url] Link to comment
Illuiix
Hahah! No problem, you're very welcome. It really does look a whole lot better! It looks pretty centered to me as well. Link to comment

Reefergirl82
No significant updates as of yet. I just updated my equipment list and my livestock list with a few new things. I only have an iphone so the pictures that i take tend to suck..... Currently saving up for a nice camera:) I'll post some full tank shots later this week but for right now here is a picture of Larry my blenny. http://s1298.photobucket.com/user/sophievonhenkle/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_2617_zps5abaa45e.jpg.html'> Link to comment
Reefergirl82
Here is a full tank shot during the sunrise. Moving very slowly with the development of this pico.... The spouse will flip if anything goes wrong lol Link to comment
Kijho
Pretty sweet setup. I like how you say "transfered a few corals" Haha - more corals than I have in my entire tank! Link to comment
