If you notice term 1 reads:

1. All livestock packages and large drygood orders require an adult signature (age 21+) so please be home at the time of delivery.

Being only 19 that adult part worries me because I won't be able to sign for my coral. :/ With my luck I doubt that a FedEx person would conveniently overlook that requirement for a young child such as myself...

You can die fighting for our country, but you can't receive your package from saltcritters. :)

Just a simple typo I hope.

My warehouse guy is 17, UPS/FedEx drops off and has him sign packages all day long. They know it is the correct address and never check an ID. It's just a legal thing, nothing more.

To businesses, they always collect a signature whether one is required or not. There is, however, a shipping option that is usually used when shipping alcohol or firearms that the driver SHOULD check an ID for delivery, but it does force them to do collect a signature like mentioned above. I know a lot of drivers that put their own squiggle on the board and then leave it on the porch of a residence.

Signatures are always required for business addresses. Even if it is shipped FedEx Home Ground they require a signature.

Yeah I work at a warehouse also. Most deliveries we get I have to sign for but they are just RMAs, nothing important.

FedEx actually checked my ID and I had to throw a sh*t fit and ask for all their managers to actually get my package(live clown) idk if UPS will be the same though. Then again I went and picked it up at the facility I didnt get it shipped to my door.

A package is a package. Delivery company doesn't know what is inside. Importance is subjective.

They asked for an ID because you picked it up at a terminal. Making sure you are who you say you are. Why did you "throw a fit"?

Importance is subjective.

Translation is subjective as well. "Live animals" or "fragile" or "this end up" loosely translate to "kick here", "throw down stairs" and "heave over fence."

This is why I always tell people to use a plain brown cardboard box with no markings on it other than the shipping label. Don't put 'this side up' or 'FRAGILE' or 'LIVE ANIMALS' as that only makes them a target for the little college shits that are 'package handlers', aka throwers.

I'm under 21 and it was shipped with an over 21 restriction. I'm not gonna leave a $200 fish there to die lol
