I love FTS with giant clams. It just takes a reef tank to another level.

Please post yours here. :) I need inspiration for my next tank(s). ;)

Thanks!

Love them all!

ZephNYC - I was gonna post yours as example but I didn't wanna get in trouble. :P That clam is huge and the purple coralline just makes it look even better.

Few years ago I saw a 500G (I think) with amazing corals and a giant clam right in the middle. I think it was a BB tank. With blue/purple lights, that tank looked amazing. I think it was featured in an online reefkeeping magazine. Anyone know what I am talking about? :)

Ya just gotta try harder. Come on...you know what? Delete your profile. We're all done with your horrible tanks.

Great thread idea!

Here's my tank when I still had both clams. The T. derasa passed away this spring after having it for 7 years.

Sorry for the loss of the clam, but maybe you could answer my question then. You had it for 7 years, roughly how big was it?(actual size), And how quickly did it grow to that size? i'm just curious cause I've had my deresa for about 9 months now, and he's grown from like 2 inches to about 5 or so. And I just want to know how quickly he will get to a very large size.

Mine started out just under two inches long. When it passed it was around 12 inches. Growth was fast initially but slowed down once it reached 9 or 10 inches. I'm not sure if this is the norm or not though.

Good to know.

I was just curious on how long it would take for mine to get really big.
