ninjamyst
My first time ordering from PEA, and it won't be my last. Customer Service - 5/5 Fast response to emails. Called the store on a weekend when it wasn't suppose to be opened and Alyssa still answered and helped me. I had a fairly difficult order with combining ebay auctions and 2 separate orders. Alyssa clearly laid out my invoice with various discounts. Everything was handled professionally. And like many reviews say, I received a follow-up call the day order was delivered. Price - 4/5 Their frag prices are in line with other sites. They also have an entire under $15 section. If you catch one of their sales, you can score some good deals. Their premium membership is also great deal. You get 10% off all regular prices and a free frag with your first order that's worth more than the membership already. Once my tank matures, I hope to get in on one of their clam sales. Photo Accuracy - 4/5 Their photos look great. The colors are bright and nicely saturated. They do not have their blue actinic, fake processing look. Do the actual corals look exactly the same as in the photos? Some pieces look identical to the photos. Some looks even better than the photos. A few pieces look slightly duller and slightly different in color, but that would be due to my LEDs vs their lights. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchases. Also, they clearly indicate the size of each frag, and it's pretty accurate. Quality - 5/5 Very healthy corals. I dipped in Revive and nothing came out. Everything opened within hours. A+++. Shipping - 5/5 Great packaging. Everything was double / triple bagged and clearly marked. Lots of padding, lots of insulation. Pictures Pink birdsnest Acan frag Piece of Reef Link to comment

snulma1
If you can visit their store....DO IT! They are the best store I've ever visited, the dogs, the greenhouse, the drinks they offer when you walk in, the friendliness....Awesome place! Link to comment

Paandemonium
I love these guys! They're awesome. I made a fairly large order from them about a week ago(14 corals) and everything was amazing. All the SPS were exactly what was pictured and they werent photoshopped in the least(which happens A LOT). I was very happy Link to comment

So far, they have the best selection and best customer service. If shipping price isn't so high, I will order from them all the time (not that their shipping is higher than other vendors). ninjamyst
Have you tried local vendors? Its an easy way to save money Yup, there are 3-4 LFS close to me but I live in the city and they are all overpriced. Plus Chicago slaps on an almost 10% sales tax. There are 2-3 LFS about 45 mins to an hour from the city with cheaper price and better selection. But I drive a gas guzzler so the combination of tax, gas cost, chance of going up there and coming back empty handed, and my own laziness make me search online more. Link to comment

Damn, thats pretty high o.o I would def go online then, I would recommend you use vendors that have flat rate shipping/ free shipping limits as your best option. It makes life easier on you and you dont feel cheated(at least I do when I want to buy a $20 item and the shipping is $55.....) Link to comment
basser1
I would like to say something about my experience with PEA when I ordered one of their clams... This was the first time I've ordered from PEA. I have ordered livestock from LiveAquarias' Diver Den in the past. I was thoroughly impressed with the whole order process. They sent me confirmation with tracking info right away. When the box came, it was packed very well with nice size insulated foam box with newspapers and foam peanuts. The clam was triple bagged. After I acclimated the clam (about an hour using drip method), it opened in a matter of a few minutes after being placed in my tank. The clam iself is a very good size, about 3" and looked very "beefy" (is that the right description)??? Later in the day I got a phone call from customer service checking to see how the clam was doing, a nice touch as I've never had a vendor call me before. All in all I'm a satisfied customer and will use them again in the future Link to comment
Tamberav
Another job well done. Everything was well packed and even the goniopora was open within minutes. They were also able to fill my order even though the items I wanted had sold and they called to make sure everything had arrived safely. Link to comment

GtTap
I live about 15 minutes away. Bought a gold torch and 3 days later it went on sale for almost half the price i payed. Not a good feeling for a local didnt even tell me about the sale. Link to comment
Ruckus16
You can't knock a store because you bought something when it wasnt on sale. Everything you buy is eventually going to be on sale. Decide you want something and wait for it to be on sale before you buy it. Link to comment

You may want to contact them and see if they would offer a similar deal. With so many competing vendors, it is a good customer service practice. Best of luck Link to comment
PacificEastAquaculture
We post new weekly specials every Thursday, occasionally Friday, we often decide that day on what goes on special based upon our stock levels and schedule of shipments. Had you contacted us first and directly we would have been glad to have taken care of you. Link to comment
