picoreef78
To frag or not. I one decent sized coral, Milka S. pisillata. Small branch on the bottom, frag or no frag? S. pisillata by Alejandro Magadan, on Flickr These discoma sps spread like wild fire, they stick the heck out of the encrusting Montipora. Any tips on getting them out alive? IMG_7041 by Alejandro Magadan, on Flickr Discoma removal by Alejandro Magadan, on Flickr One last questions, Rainbow montipora placement This used to have green and orange polyps, now it is all orange. A calcerfious worm also decided to make the frag its home and constantly bugs it. 1 Quote Link to comment

picoreef78
After multiple tests of same RedSea and Salifert tests, alkalinity has been different. Salifert running 2.73-2.85 and Red Sea 3.0-3.2. Always liked redundancy. Spotted dosing buffer for one day because I thought I was too high. Now back on. Ordered a new Salifert test. Maybe I should just have gone with the Hanna Alkalinity checker. 1 Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
New little bud with 3 weeks of growth on the Red Planet! Red Planet by Alejandro Magadan, on Flickr The pink Stylopora seems to be in a hold pattern. Anyone have advised on placement? Higher? The Cali Tort also not growing, has good polyp extension. Again hints on placement? I recently upped the lights to 90% (Gen 2 radion pro with 120 degree lenses) Am I photo inhibiting these corals? 3 Quote Link to comment

Fingers crossed this time. The ORA pearlberry died for unclear reasons, I am wondering of the AEFW as anything to do with it. The Fire breath is named as an A. nasuta, For some reason I can't kill this coral no matter what I do, hopefully this one will do well. The A. sarmetosa and "Purple Plasma" are new and nice looking, fingers crossed.
