TheKleinReef
Bighorn Hike! But first, let me take a selfie. me-1 by Roger Klein, on Flickr Okay, here we go! Tommy! hiking near steamboat-2 by Roger Klein, on Flickr bull moose by Roger Klein, on Flickr ^Easily one of the most terrifying moments of my life. At one point I was about 20 feet away from this bull moose, which was easily 7-8 feet tall. When we came out of some dense trees into this open prairie area, a small pine tree was on our right. Little did we know this beast was just beyond that tree. It was startled by us (which is surprising), when it took off running we thought we were in the clear. He turned around and stared us down. I turned to my friend, Tommy, and whispered "what do we do?" He whispered, "just get low and back away slowly." So we did, and after about a 20 second stare-down (which felt like a lifetime), it turned around and ran towards the river. Hands down the most terrifying moment of my life. Onwards! more pics! Untitled by Roger Klein, on Flickr we made it to that summit, about a 1000ft climb from where we started. beautiful view by Roger Klein, on Flickr i had to take this picture, but even after lowering clarity, contrast, vibrance, and saturation it still looks fake. I still have to tweak it a bit. view from the summit. hiking near steamboat-9 by Roger Klein, on Flickr man the vignette on the 24-120 f4 is horrid. time for some full res panoramas. Moose are notoriously aggressive animals. I've never been more scared in my life. You're a brave soul if you want to be closer than I was. TheKleinReef
Wayyyyyy too much clarity/sharpen That's the point. In no way would I ever use this as a realistic portrait. Realism gets hella boring hella fast. And for this edit I didn't even touch clarity or sharpen. Link to comment
