evilc66
Or if you really want to be masochistic, try 0201. I've done those by hand before. They are not fun. Or sub 0.5mm pitch IC's. Link to comment

jedimasterben
Ben Just practice your soldering skills using 402 sized components. After you get good at doing those, any LED will appear absolutely huge in comparison. Lol Nah, if I ever need any of that I'll just pay you to do it Link to comment
Horerczy
Also that fixture doesn't resemble a fixture anymore when you tear it down that much. Link to comment

And they're made with SUPER thin metal now. I just about poked a hole straight through the house just trying to get the damned wire grommet out. Link to comment
HarryPotter
Can you give me a link to that heatsink? What length did you use for the 36" unit, and what length would you suggest for the 48? Link to comment

jedimasterben
Sanded down the sunpower and put on what is hopefully the last coat of white on the housing. After that, everything will get a couple of coats of matte clear, and then I can finish assembly Was finally able to get my customizations done to the Nanobox arrays. This is how tiny the Luxeon C LEDs are (there are six in there). Link to comment
Reefkid88
Ben,have you had a chance to mess with the Marine Blues yet for rapid ? I got 4 and have those on a channel with some 400-410 and a few 410-420 and a 430 and its a good mix. I can defintely say thay Steves royals arent as blue as my old ones and are more green then the ones i had from Rapid... Have they switched bins as of late or what ? Link to comment
jedimasterben
I guess I never did show the finished product lol. But now, of course, it's just going to be sold since my tank leaked and the new one is only 22" wide lol. Link to comment
jedimasterben
So if anyone wants a 36" Sunpower with two T5 and four Nanobox 5-channel arrays with Mint instead of Lime, let me know. Yes, Steve's a few years ago switched from 440-445nm bins to 450-455nm bins, and their standard blues are very nearly cyan, in the 475-480nm bin. Blech. Link to comment

Well, in my defense, the tank it was going over is gone now, so I didn't have much choice So what what happens when you add mints instead of limes? I'm interested. Not too much, but they have more blue than lime, which are almost completely phosphor converted. Link to comment
