rev138
Hi, From the description on the website, I can't tell how big the bag is, nor how many pods can I expect to be in there? Hundreds? Thousands? I'm mostly curious about the size of the bag because I'm considering buying one for my 5.5 gallon, so I won't be able to float a big bag in it. Thanks. Link to comment
SerenityReef
You'll be fine. What needs pods in your 5.5g? Link to comment
metrokat
I order Johns pods pretty often. It is a small baggie. The critters are microscopic. I don't float the bag at all, I pour it right in. When I had a pico (2G) I would turn off my pumps, take out a few cups of water if I needed to float anything. After putting livestock in the tank, I would fill it back up with the water I had removed and turn the pump back on. Link to comment
rev138
You'll be fine. What needs pods in your 5.5g? Nothing "needs" them, but I consider them part of a healthy tank. It's 6 years old, and there's not much diversity anymore. They're all pretty much one species. Link to comment

Evanski9
My nano cube is like that 4 years old. No fish and I get crazy algae growth. It's about to crash. Time for a fresh tank. Link to comment

MeepNand
John could have sent me ocean water and called it pods+ because it didn't look like there was anything in the bag. Then again, all of John's products cause tank awesomeness; ocean water in a bag would probably somehow cause massive sps growth if he sold it. Link to comment
johnmaloney
There is a few in there, they differ a bit bag to bag depending on how many they scooped up. It is all smaller harcaptoid pods now, although in 2 weeks or so we are going to have the caprellid amphipods in there too. Pods don't have that much value for most people though, unless you have a specific reason you want them I wouldn't get them. Very little value cleaning wise. Link to comment
