For over a year i had a 29g Biocube and finally feel its time to graduate from nano and get a larger tank. I found a LFS selling a 60g Deep Blue 24x24x24 Cube and had to buy it. After a few weeks of researching and drawing up plans, i decided on this plan...

i drew this up on sketchup...60g tank up top, 20g tall for a sump on the bottom left and 10g ato tank on bottom right. that box above the 10g is where i will be hiding my electronics for easy access.

they are building lots of new homes on my street so after several dumpster dives, i had the wood i needed, let the build begin!!!!

Redid the return plumbing today...took the Sicce 2.0 out and replaced it with an Eheim 1262. Im using this more powerful pump to also power up my two BRS reactors.

Finally got the second BRS reactor hard plumbed to the return pump as well, im currently running GFO in it. Once the pellets become active on the first reactor, ill change the GFO to Carbon. I also did the skimmer mod to my RO 110 skimmer and now its dead silent...the splashing noise coming from the skimmer was always very annoying before.

Nice work. I'm setting up a DB 60cube a also. Very similar to yours. How do you like the DB tank?

i like the tank, its my first big tank from a nano so i have nothing to compare it to but very happy with it. The stock bulk heads are crap and need to be replaced with a better one but other than that, all is well. Send me a link to your build!

since the Bio Pellets became active, this tank has been super clean. tank is 100% algae free and sand is white! Highly recommend Carbon Dosing with Bio Pellets.
