louy99
For over a year i had a 29g Biocube and finally feel its time to graduate from nano and get a larger tank. I found a LFS selling a 60g Deep Blue 24x24x24 Cube and had to buy it. After a few weeks of researching and drawing up plans, i decided on this plan... Current FTS: 2/16/13 FTS 3/15/13 FTS 4/23/80 FTS 8-1-13 List of equipment: Ecotech Radion for light Ecotech Vortech MP10 hydor Power head 500gph cobalt 100w heater 20g Tall for sump (from Petco) 10g for ATO (from Petco) Reef Octopus 110 skimmer apex aqua controller Eheim 1262 Retern Pump 2x BRS 1.1 ML Dosing pumps for CA & ALK BRS Bio Pellet Reactor BRS GFO Reactor i drew this up on sketchup...60g tank up top, 20g tall for a sump on the bottom left and 10g ato tank on bottom right. that box above the 10g is where i will be hiding my electronics for easy access. they are building lots of new homes on my street so after several dumpster dives, i had the wood i needed, let the build begin!!!! making sure the tanks fit well inside Had some unexpected money come in the mail, enough to by this..... Still need to make a door for the right.. Got my baffles cut by Lee & Cates Glass and they fit perfect! Link to comment

Im using this more powerful pump to also power up my two BRS reactors. Skimmer broke in 2 days ago and is producing nice foam Link to comment

louy99
Finally got the second BRS reactor hard plumbed to the return pump as well, im currently running GFO in it. Once the pellets become active on the first reactor, ill change the GFO to Carbon. I also did the skimmer mod to my RO 110 skimmer and now its dead silent...the splashing noise coming from the skimmer was always very annoying before. Link to comment

How do you like the DB tank? i like the tank, its my first big tank from a nano so i have nothing to compare it to but very happy with it. The stock bulk heads are crap and need to be replaced with a better one but other than that, all is well. Send me a link to your build! Link to comment
