TRENT
I decided to do a 29 gallon Biocube that will house Two clown and an Anemone. I really wanted a sump to hold some extra rock, media reactor and possibly a skimmer and still give the tank a nice AIO look. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Will finish the build next week and transfer everything over to the cube and shut down the 40B and sump system in the garage. All stock flow should work as intended Leak/flow test 6-7 gallon sump Clowns and anemone Last picture is of a 40B to show the true size of the Nem. 1 Link to comment
Reefed419
Trent, Looks very nice man. I am in the process of aquireing all my equipment to do the same thing with a 14 gallon BC. Got a question though, Why did u put your overflow drain so high in the back? good luck with this set up and keep this thread going. Link to comment
TRENT
Thanks guy's for the compliments. Nano Reefer, I placed the drain so high because the sump is so small. I wanted as little as possible water to flow back into the sump to prevent flooding. That is why their is a check valve on the return. Usually check valves are a bad idea but I had no choice. I may go with a bigger sump. Pet Smart has a 15 gallon Column tank on sale. It would make a great sump but is a little on the tall side (Dimensions: 13.6" x 13.8" x 24.8"). Not leaving a whole lot of head room. Here is a link to the tank. http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11390248&f=PAD%2FpsNotAvailInUS%2FNo Link to comment
racerfreak
If you are feeling brave enough you can diy an acrylic sump. I'm in the process of building one for my BC29, I ordered through Tap Plastics. They will cut everything to the size you want and sell everything you need except clamps, technically you don't need them but they help. I pain under $150 for everything shipped and my sump measures 18 x 13 x 15. Link to comment
Reefed419
Another question I have is what return pump are u planning on using? Link to comment

TRENT
Thanks for all the nice comments. Here is a little update on the cube. Sorry for the crappy blue shot (LEDs). Hard to see true color of corals. Been getting pretty good growth. SPS took a lot of time just encrusting. Now I should see some serious growth. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
