This kit includes everything you need to upgrade the stock filtration flow in the Red Sea Max 130/D aquarium. Almost 30 gph more than the stock filtration output. This kit will also eliminate the issue the stock pumps present. They are mounted at the top causing the pumps to starve when there is evaporation or a strain on flow from filter floss, media, or sponge. These pumps are staggered in the chamber much lower down than the stock pumps. Say goodbye to bubbles and hello to more flow!

Includes:

  • (2) 160 gph pumps (115V, 60 Hz)
  • 320 gph total output
  • (2) hoses to stagger pumps
  • (2) hose clamps
  • Installed 90° elbows
  • Direction sheet

Why it is better:

  • Increases filtration and overall flow in the aquarium
  • Places pumps lower in chamber to eliminate starving them of water
  • Easy to install
  • All parts are included shipped to your door

I've had a few of these go out over the past few years and have it on my RSM for a while. Just finally allocated the time to make it happen for realz.

Hey Stevie, i thinking of getting this upgrade seeing the place of where they mounted the pumps always was terrible. But my biggest concern is, when the two pumps are hanging down like that, won't they lean against the glass and start to make noise? Or does the tubing keeps them from leaning against the glass.

And is it back in stock? Seeing on the webshop it states it would be by now but you can still only preorder.. Oh, and the terminal, is it the one we use in Europe? You know, this one: stekker.jpg

I have this upgrade and love it. I think they do sit up against the glass but no noise what-so-ever. Don't know if he has those terminals.

Never had an issue with noise before. Sorry our pumps are 120V and have USA plugs. More detail was left on your email you sent us. Thanks.

Too bad, i probably order just the tubing needed for it somewhere in the future and if i can find them the pumps somewhere else, and maybe something to invest in, the euro plugs?

It's not worth the massive trouble to bring in 220 volt euro plugs into the USA just to send them back over to Europe, and you start an international dealer war. Plus there are different plug types, no warranty etc...

The pumps are made in Germany, it can't be too hard to find them in Europe?

I installed the Pump Upgrade for the RSM130D last night and it works AWESOME ! Sooooo quiet and I can definitely see a improvement in water flow. I still have the stock skimmer and it works great with it. Hopefully within the next yr or sooner I can put in the media basket and Tunze skimmer. I'm so glad I went with this upgrade instead of the stock pumps.
