Yeah Marc told me, can't wait to see what he gets! For me I would LOVE a small clam, no bigger than 2 inches. I know the ones you post on the site are usually at least 5 inches. If you have any smaller ones in the back in a bright blue, green or turquoise, please PM me!

No small ones quite yet. Our small cultured Maximas will be coming in soon. Same ultra colors as the big guys but in the 2-3 inch range. Not sure exactly when we will have them up for sale, could be a few weeks or a few months yet.

I have been waiting for your new shipment and just cleared out my quarantine tank from the last one I got from you on July 11th. I quarantined it for 10 weeks and it is perfect. I plan to order 4 of them and a bunch of frags too...I think Metrokat wants in on the order too so it will be a nice order. But dont rush on my account. Let those babies rest if you think they need it.

We have the handling and QT down to an art now. We have been importing them for two years and while I was in Tahiti recently we instituted some new procedures that have resulted in even better quality upon arrival in the US. During the last two years we have also been culturing clams there and these are ready to ship. We got over some huge hurdles while I was there in our meetings with the President of French Polynesia and the Ministers of Marine Fisheries, etc. They are fully backing our aquaculture efforts. However, we are dealing with several different entities that regulate the trade, these include French Polynesia including their legislature and the executive levels, France since Polynesia is a part of France, and CITES authorities. Despite the fact that the largest populations of clams in the world occur around a few islands there in French Polynesia and clams number in the many hundreds of millions with 1000s of times more used as food than for the aquarium trade, we are dedicated to aquaculture and hope to offer only the smaller cultured clams in the near future. In the meantime, we will continue to offer the larger beauties.
