Hey everyone

Been awhile since I've posted anything but I've the tank going for years. This is about the fourth aquascape I've filled in the tank. I'll try and find some pics of previous scapes if I can.

Equipment:

AquaClear 30 and Aqueon 500 Powerheads

150w JBJ Viper Halide and 2x39w T5HO lights

200w Ebo Jager heater

Fish:

Yellowtail blenny

Sixline Wrasse

Maintenance:

I do 10 or 20% waterchanges every week or two.

Dosing is rarely necessary but I use Seachem products.

Thats about it! If you any other questions lemme know.

Also, sorry for the phone blur

Current FTS

Not much in the way has changed with the tank except the red bubble algae is getting out of control... like waaay outta control. Dunno what to do about it but I swear its a inch thick in places.

Wait scratch that, I added a lil sixline.

Alright so it's time to move again... Yay. Anyway wanted to get some before and after shots of the tank. I can't say I've been working on the tank alot. It's just doing it's thing, I'm doing mine. Hopefully after I move (and my roomate moves his frags out of my sand bed) things will look more the way I like them. Which is to say; less cluttered.

Hey Lani.

Yep, Still around.

I wanna/need some LEDs. Pure and simple. Just really hate the expense of Damned Halide bulbs. Gonna be another year before that happens (Just got a two pack of halide bulbs). Other than that no plans for upgrades. Everything is super stable parameter wise, so yeah, not gonna tempt myself into screwing up a good thing. Might end up fragging a few things in the near future.

I dig the black sand homes and well... pretty much everything in the tank (;

Thanks as I look back through the thread I realize how bad I am at documenting it in photos. Trying to correct this.

These are my favorite corals followed by the problem children for future reference's sake.

Wow,

Your corals looks awesome! It just shows that sometimes simple is the answer. Very nice :)

Thanks, and yeah I acutally ran a sump on this thing for a year or two. I ditched it after the fifth flood, haven't looked back since.

I really dig the cyphestrea!

Wanna trade? Actually really proud of that one. A reefkeeper friend bought it for $5 as a gift. It was on death's doorstep in the shop's tank... All betters now

Yeah, realized that right after posting... The only reason I offered is I can still see the origional frag plug whenever I look at the tank and I have a peeve about clean lines within my rockwork.

So curiosity has the better of me. I just added my first ever sump to my 40B - can I ask what caused your floods? You got me worried lol

Crappy overflow; a Red Sea. It would lose syphon and the aqua lifter couldn't restart flow before my return pump flooded the display. I could have replaced it at the time but decided to leave it go for a paycheck. I got to likeing the quietness of no sump so I just tucked some of the macro into the display. A hum of my halide is the only thing I hear from my tank now.

Thanks,

I've kept my sump as simple as possible and double (triple checked nothing would flood in either directions if something fails...but it's still scary (and noisy) having water going up and down lol.

Thanks for your answer :)

Had a couple of new additions I'm pretty stoked on.

First I got a free Jawbreaker... Don't worry it was glued to a bigger rock so the hermits won't try and take it's home. Yeah the pic is horrible

photobucket-13643-1383066004650_zpsd6c7f

Here is my lazy azz emerald scoping out the emerald mummy eye. Actually gonna pry the frag off the rock if anyone is interested in the dribble on the front side of the frag plug.

This is one of my favorite corals that I Coralsit. I'm gonna get a frag for the effort... It's a Pastel War and Peace Favia

Heres another pic of the lazy azz emerald (Not Pictured: Bubble algae)

My wrasse hates clean glass... alot

photobucket-6105-1383066005374_zps74c217

Finally, what I like to call the "Reactor Pool" shot
