I am going to be setting up a 20 high, and was wondering on which retrofit kit to use. If possible, I would like to use two smaller kits.

I was thinking of this one. Using two of them on a 4.25" x 16" heatsink and am looking for a 14K look.

Or am thinking of 2 of these on the before mentioned heatsink.

Thanks for any and all help.

I have no first hand experience with RapidLED, but 24 LEDs will definitely be fine over a 20L. I've got 36 over my 30 gallon. I used one of the Aquastyle kits, and the kits are definitely pretty easy to put together, so I'm sure you'd be fine with either of the ones you linked.

I have a 20 high. Not long. You think it will still be ok?

The 12 kit is probably going to be enough, 24 might be overkill. If you're getting a non-dimmable kit I'd go with a 12 kit to start, if it's dimmable then 24 would be okay since you can always dim down as necessary.
