That tank was going good but I was looking for something a bit bigger and around May I found a BC29 for cheep so I reacently upgraded to that with no problems, and that's where I am today. The tanks I currently own are this tank and a 75 gallon frontosa tank. Thanks for taking the time to look at my build. Now on to this system! I plan to put some smaller rubble like pieces in front of the islands to stretch them closer to the front! Because I only have about 20 lbs. of rock! Link to comment
kveekx Posted June 24, 2012 Author Share Posted June 24, 2012 Verbal Update: Major Changes: My tank was going good untill I had to tear it up because I added an amazing Male Tri-Color Wrasse. My Pink Skunk decided to be mean so I decided to keep the more expensive, peaceful, colorful fish. To catch the clown I had to remove all rock and use a 8" net to catch him. While the rocks were out and my corals staying in the tank I used a flathead and Hammer to reshape the rock into more nano shapes. It isnt islands any more but a big platform for SPS and big opening in middle where the Wrasse always comes through! Minor Changes: Added another 445nm Blue Panorama Pro Ecoxotic Took out last of bioballs and added the rubble from breaking rocks and a ball of cheato in the middle chamber. Switched stock pump for Cobalt Aquatics MJ-1200 First Acro! To-Do: Add a MP-10 this week! Get a good skimmer Get inTank media rack Thanks for looking at my thread the question I have is does the Reef Octopus BH100s pump fit in the first chamber also If that doesnt work which skimmer is better Reef Octopus BH1000(External Pump) or the Tunze 9002? Any other skimmers that would be good? I want to stay around $160 max. Ill post pics when I have MP10! Link to comment

kveekx Posted July 27, 2012 Author Share Posted July 27, 2012 Update: Got back from week long vacation to some foggy glass due to algae but all my levels were in check so I would say that the tank is in good shape! Also I added a inTank Media Basket and Fuge Basket with 10w light! I like the clean look it gives in the tank and with the Media Basket I figured I should give Purigen a go!
