-Darren-
hello everyone. I'm new to marine reefing and would like to set up a 15g reef tank with soft corals. So, my question is: what are people's opinions and/or personal experiences with "octopus grow marine led 90w" light units? C.I._Reefer
Looks about like the 120w fixtures you see on ebay. Itll be fine for a 15g maybe even too much. I dont know if it is dimmable. Also the price is kinda steep I think Link to comment
blasterman
Go to google, type '120watt LED', and you'll see pages of the same unit with a different color scheme all over the place. Some as low as $175. Way over-kill for a 15gal, but if you can get the dimmable versions you're all set. Not worth $250 though. Link to comment
-Darren-
Being from Australia I'm not too keen on buying stuff over the net from America due to the electrical differences. What kind of lighting would you recommend for a 15g/ 2ft reef tank? Link to comment
castiel
Darren, I am also from Aus and looking at lights at the moment! Difficult to find non-US options, which as you say aren't feasible due to the electric differences. I spoke to a guy at the LFS recently about lights, I don't believe that Kessil has a distributor in Australia unfortunately. An option could be 2-3 BoostLED PAR30 lamps - I have one above each of my picos. Even then it is tricky to find suitable fixtures! I ended up hacksawing some lamps to make them work. By the way - check out the Aussie Reefer Thread in my signature =0) Link to comment
