**PURPLE HAZE**

I been having this purple haze monti for about 4 months now and all of a sudden it started to get white patches every where.. everything else in the tank looks great at the moment.. looks like its bleachin out slowly.. ANY IDEAS?? Param's are all good btw

I had the same issues a couple weeks ago with a orange monti cap. I took a turkey baster blasted the thing with it and 3 weeks later the monti cap is almost back to normal

How big are the patches? Upload a pic. Could be monti eating nudis

Seems to be the monti bleaching season for a heck of a lot of people. Post some pics, it could be a number of different reasons.

Off the top of my head:

 

-Monti RTN

-Monti eating nudis

-Monti eating blackbugs

-Too much light

-Too much phosphates

-Overall dirty water

-Alk problems?

Have you checked the TDS of your RO water?

Monti Nudis, trapped detitrius are two possibilities. How is your flow in that particular area? Alk?

Most likely detritus that settles on the plate, monti nudis usually hit the edges/base first.
