My God! Doesn't the woman proof read this crap before you put it up? I believe the word you are looking for is MODELS, not MODES. Also, 1-2 WEEKS, not WEEK.

We have opened up sales for the Innovative Marine 16 products. The media and fuge basket will be ready to ship this week. Orders may start to ship out as early as Wednesday depending on volume.

We will be updating pictures and information as soon as possible.

There are a few options. You can get a discount on 2 media basket or we have our package deal which includes a (2) media baskets and (1) fuge basket. The fuge basket can also hold larger media bags as the intake chamber is skinny. We do sell all products individually.

I have an IM Nuvo 8 and can't wait for a better media basket.

Granted the stock basket was designed for IM's own filter sponges but damn, it sure doesn't hold DIY sponges, floss etc worth a damn. My purigen and rowa phos dont seem to get decent flow through it, and the top chamber over flows past the basket if I use the smallest of sponges with a little floss on top to trap the smaller crap.

Since you've been playing around with IM tanks, would you say that their build quality has imporoved? Been thinking of getting the IM 30 and more so now that there's this basket coming out.

I heard that a few of the first units had some issues with the seals. Personally I have had NO issues with my little Nuvo 8 but time will tell. I'm very impressed with how simple and easy the filtation is set up. It makes top off's, water changes, and visual checking on filter media VERY easy. I have my eye on the same Nuvo 30 you do. Check out the JBJ 30 rimless thouh, same basic idea as the nuvo but I like the shape better, more of a shallow rectangular 30 gal and I've heard the build quality is bullet proof.

I was hoping the IM16 basket would fit in the IM8 and it does but with one problem. The floor on the IM16 is not as deep as on the IM8. So it needs a taller basket. The chambers are very skinny and this is all we can work with. But their basket is really crappy to start with and doesn't even come close to filling the entire chamber. Ours fills in those gaps. The media bags will need to be small but with two baskets you make up for it. Ours will also be much taller. If there is room we will have a fuge basket in the remaining chamber(s). We are working on designs right now and have the tank in the shop.

We only purchase one of each tank so I can't speak for overall quality. I did read that they were working on improving some of the china issues with them. The tanks we received were good, one aesthetic issue with the base of the IM16 but as a non user of the tank I didn't care. Kind of chucked that china would let that through their production line.

We will get the IM30 in due time and get a products out for it.

The moment a good fitting NUVO 8 basket comes out, I'll be first in line to order. On a more positive note my green clown goby has figured out that the top chamber of the stock basket makes for a great retreat when he gets too close to my bicolor blennys hole and gets chased. (he just slips through the over flow and chills in the basket resting on top of the small sponge I use in there. I swear I have to scoop that damn guy out of it at least twice a week.

The blenny will be rehomed soon though so only a little while longer and hopefully the GCG will get along with his new roomate a purple firefish much better.

Agreed on the stock basket blowing. About those gaps though, are yours designed to fill the entire gap? I don't have the originals to compare but your basket has a decent gap as well. I wonder if my tank's specs are off, the original baskets didn't fit as well as I would have imagined.

NM, you explained it here.

Sort of, I thought we were talking about the biocube over there. IM basket slides under the intake shoot.

I'd just like to chime in and say that for any of you Nuvo owners out there, upgrading to inTank media baskets are a must. The workmanship is superb and the fit is great.

I see what you are thinking now. We can not go the entire width of the chamber because of the silicone. And how much they use on different tanks is always our challenge. Your tank is most likely made slightly different than your buddies. Especially for JBJ/IM aquariums. The basket will fit in only one way, handle can go on whatever side you like.

If you need to get more water in glue a better director off the intake channel, theirs kind of sucks. I can see playing around with small pieces of plastic.

I'm confused. So it fits the 8 gallon? If so I'm ordering RIGHT NOW!! I have the 8 and the basket and media suck!! Or I was gonna put 2 of there racks back to back. I have an extra one.

It will, but it is not tall enough, it will sit too low. The 8 gallon needs a taller basket for optimal performance. If you are super impulsive you could raise this one up with some eggcrate but if you can wait we will have one out for the 8 hopefully soon.

lol well normally I'd jump on it and mod it. But your products are so killer I'll wait for it to come out. I'll be checking in often,it's the little things that make me happy.
