BGJ223
Nice tank, I love the Dymax IQ3, my favorite tank actually. Good call on going barebottom, that is what I did in mine. Makes siphoning the gunk out easier. GSP and zoas are both able to attach to the bottom to make a carpet. Link to comment

BGJ223
For my IQ3, I have the stock pump and I made the hole under the overflow bigger and added another pump. Many people use the mini-jet 404 and remove the covers and it fits in the compartment. Link to comment
gimptastic matt
I cant drill the hole bigger now ive filled it with water i could replace the stock for a higher output one i have been thinking of some kind of closed loop with the input in 1 od the chambers and return into the display To be fair tho my corals seem happy so im not too worried about it Link to comment
gimptastic matt
It might be a bit to big for my 2 gallon pico lol Link to comment

I really like some movement (not movement like a xenia gives) for my little tank, but I'm concerned there isn't a creature whom I could put in there... Jb Link to comment
gimptastic matt
They didnt give didnt give any specific reason except they would fight and kill each other they may be ok if u introduce a confirmed pair, then again im no expert on these crabs as this is my first all i did before was put a topic up in the invertebrate forum and i got answers straight away The sexy shrimp can be quite active and comical Hope this helps a bit p.s ur pico looks really good Link to comment

Just drain the water level enough to get the drill in without it being submerged. That's how I did mine. It was far from ideal, but almost 2 years later the tank is still running. The little shards of acrylic made no difference Link to comment
