I just recently purchased an Aqueon Evolve 8 and i am just wondering what would be the best type of filtration to use? The back compartment is not all that big and wanted to know what others might be using or if any body had some opinions i.e. carbon, purigen etc.

Phosguard is bad...aluminum based, would never recommend anything like it go in a tank.

Use a small bag of CPE and Purigen...with filter floss.

What about using a Poly Filter in conjunction with purigen chemi pure elite? Would that work? I have a evo 8 too also wondering what would make a good return pump upgrade?
