Stoops718
I have the 12 gallon edge as well. I am running the stock lights with 3 ecoxotic ecopico led strips. Probably going to have to swap out the stock lights. Can I have the info on the lights you installed. Also are you going to add anymore rock to your scape. A few people have been saying I need more live rock in my tank (I also have 9lbs)? Looking forward on seeing your tank progress. Good luck with it. Link to comment
camry90
^thanks! i need to re-scape the rocks. i will look at other LFS because the one i go to has coral looking rocks and that's not what i am going for. i was going to post a picture of my tank and ask people here if it's suitable for anemone and other corals in the future. i bought LED reverse lights from ebay. found an old router power supply and it was 12V output so it suited the LED. spliced the wires and that's it!. i'm not really happy with my craftsmanship so i will re-do it before having any corals in there. Stoops718
What's your CUC? I've got 4 scarlet hermits and 5 nerite snail and 1 cerith snail but they dont seem like they are doing too much. The sand bed is really clean but there is still diatoms on the back of the tank and some green hair algae on one piece of live rock (inherited from the LFS, it's not spreading). Should I get more? Maybe a emerald crab? Link to comment
camry90
i'm no expert on that matter but i have some sort of conch and the other one is a Astrae snail. amazing difference. the LR that they touched, looks bleached. i will upload a photo soon. EDIT: Link to comment
Stoops718
Just a little tip. If you run your day lights for a shorter time or none at all it should help the diatom blooms. Link to comment
camry90
true, i'm gonna reduce it to 8hr per day instead of 11 Link to comment
