Time for another LED build! Hopefully will find time this weekend to work on it. Still need to gut the fixture...

What seller did you get these from?

I usually get them shipped in bubble wrap inside a padded envelope!

I tried a new sell this time and got them in boxes. My other two orders came in bubble wrapped in padded envelope.

how far off of the tank are your lamps?
I took the optics out of mine to get them a little less disco, but the lamps are right on the water (1" above it)
I've been wondering about adding the optics back in, and moving the lights further away.

also: did you choose the 'cool' or 'warm' white gu10 3w lamps?

cool white. warm white is like near yellow.

i have mine 10-12" off the top of the tank. if you keep the bulbs in a tight straight line you wont get the spotlighting. adding the optics will at least double your par ratings and light intensity.. probably 3-4x it.
