jedimasterben
It's what you get for having so many corals in your tank Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Going to the Long Island Aquarium tomorrow with the kiddies. I messaged Joe Yaiullo and he will be there tomorrow. I've only wanted to meet him forever! 1 Quote Link to comment
Belac
I think you should just give the rock flower to Master Ben. Quote Link to comment
tibbsy07
Make your pico a rock flower haven. Problem solved. 1 Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Now that is a tempting thought. The nem will probably be very happy being the spotlight. 1 Quote Link to comment
MikeTR
it needs a hole in a rock to go in. it will not come out ever. 1 Quote Link to comment
metrokat
it probably found one. I can't see the foot it is buried below the sand somewhere. Folks say rock nems hide under the sand, not this guy. He's always mooning me. Quote Link to comment
jedimasterben
Why would a rock flower nem hide under the sand Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Why would a rock flower nem hide under the sand http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=497+499+1704&pcatid=1704 They prefer to live on shaded, vertical rock walls, or within the substrate. They will bury most of their body in the sand, with only the oral disc and tentacles showing Quote Link to comment
jedimasterben
But that's not hiding under the sand lol Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Not for me it's not but nems do this in other tanks sometimes. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/344331-rock-flower-anemone-dying/?p=4694809 Anyway, it's not important. The nem is crawling to the wrong spot. Quote Link to comment
tailes
Soooooo, package yet?? Quote Link to comment
metrokat
no Shows processed in Dallas as of yesterday. No updates since then. My phyto and pods from Florida were to arrive yesterday and they came today. I'm just hoping for the best. It is not hot here so that is a good thing. And it sucks because you dropped it off to the center at 8:30 AM and it shows April 22, 2014 , 9:11 pm Accepted at USPS Origin Sort Facility GARLAND, TX 75040 so that service center needs a beating Quote Link to comment
tibbsy07
Put a piece of LR that is kind of arch-like in the tank, make it rock nem haven. Then zoas and nem will be good. Gena's rock nems have some light and let's be honest, the light on this tank isn't like a crazy high powered LED that is going to roast the nem... 1 Quote Link to comment
metrokat
i might just do that..... 1 Quote Link to comment

I knew I should have paid another 20$ and gone with UPS.... Ugh... Well, it's GSP so it might survive if it gets there tomorrow. I'm glad I didn't drop any SPS clippings into the bag like I thought about as they wouldn't have survived for sure. Quote Link to comment

SPS in priority mail is a no no. No matter what. So I'm glad you didn't send me any, anything else will hopefully survive. I see what you did there! Quote Link to comment

Yeah, that's why in the end I didn't. Regardless, we'll see what happens. Hopefully it shows up tomorrow and it's resilient so it all works out. I see what you did there!I'm gonna be sick if it doesn't work out. While I do like having the end of my tank back, you just can't find big pieces like that, that aren't attached to rocks to do what you want to do with it. Quote Link to comment
