Can you make a recommendation for recreating a dawn/dusk cycle using 4 PAR30 bulbs?
They would be hooked up to a controller.
I was thinking maybe:

  • 1x 2RB 2CW 1NW
  • 1x 4RB 1CW
  • 1x 3NW 2CW
  • 1x 2RB 1B 1CW 1NW

60o all the way around.
Hoping for ~16,000K.
What do you think?

You got some good idea there, but in order to give better suggestions, what is the size of the tank?

If you are going to use 4 PAR30s over that size tank, my suggestion would be to use 2 types of PAR30's that are closer in terms of Blues and White LEDs. For example, a great combo would be 2 x PAR30 with 4 Royal Blue and 1 Cool White PLUS 2 x PAR30 with 2 Royal Blues, 1 Regular Blue, 1 Cool White and 1 Neutral White. This combo allows you to have the 4 Royal Blue and 1 Cool White which will give you a darker look for the dusk/dawn effect.

You also don't want to have 4 different PAR30 LED combinations because parts of the tank will look different.

Hope this helps!

Ahhh. I'm stuck in T5 bulb combo think.

2x 4RB 1CW
2x 2RB 1B 1CW 1NW

Sounds better/makes more sense now.
Thanks for the help.

BTW, would that combo ~ 16,000K?
I'm just trying to be between 14-20.

Your welcome and yes you'll be in the 14-20,000K range.
