Ricordea (florida) bleaching / dying

For me, I put them in the shade (or lower my lighting) and try to light accumulate my R. flordias. Try putting it in the shade and see if it looks better.

 

Just wondering, did the ric in question come from the same source with your other rics that are doing fine?

 

Yes tehy both came from the same place.. Why do you ask?

I love it a 4 year old thread brought back to life. That is what they do. I can grow Yumas all day under LED but since I changed from halides and or t5 I have not been able to keep a florida more than about a year. IME They like crappy water quality and low light. I like them they are pretty so once a year I buy 10 of them from a local guy that puts group buys together I only pay about $5 each I enjoy them for the year or so than the seem to melt away. I cant figure it out but they did fine in my tanks under T5's. The only thing I can think of is the LEDS.
