I have seen some other clubs out there and after doing some digging I didnt see any clubs for AI LEDS. I just wanted to through this out there for anyone that may have any Aqua Illumination leds or would just want to chime in about them. PICS are always welcome and encouraged!!!

I also wanted to say that I am NOT affiliated with Aqua Illuminations. I just really like there Products!

Here is what I know about the new unit as of now. The new AI LED light is thinner than the old Sol, it uses the same Cree XM-L and dual blue color LED cluster as the AI Nano and it is wirelessly controlled. AI’s newest LED light will be controlled by a separate black-box controller which will have a web interface, and it will be able to control up to 30, individually addressable wireless AI LED lights.

The AI Sol “Phoenix” consumes about 75 watts of power and it will be available sometime in the fall for $499. You read that right, the newest and most capable light AI has ever made will be cheaper than its predecessor, the AI Sol, which will drop to $399 and the AI Nano will also drop down to $299. AquaIllumination has yet to firm up a name for the new LED light and a contest will be held in the future to come up with a real name for it. Finally, existing owners of Sol LEDs will be able to upgrade their fixtures to the same undercarriage of new LEDs, lenses and wifi module for an undetermined price. Stay tuned for a lot more forthcoming details about the whole ecosystem of AI LED lighting products.

WOW!!! Nice looking tank! Man I love them AI's!!!

An older shot but you get the idea :ninja:

Elos Mini 20 Gallon Cube (17x17x16) w/ AI Nano (Cool White Version)

Personally, I cannot stand the Icy Blue hue that the AI LED's give out (or any LED light that is), but I buy them due to not requiring a chiller and lowering the electric bill. I WILL, however, most likely fall in love with the AI Nano once the "Warm White" version comes out...which is supposed to simulate a 14-20k Metal Halide look (which is to die for!). Hopefully it will come out soon.

PS: Side note do you always keep your baseball bat close to your door? Paranoid are we? LOL

Add me to the club....I have had the SOL Blue and the Nano and think AI makes an incredible product! I am transferring everything over to my Biocube 29 AI Nano with BRS Pukani live rock just about cycled coming from a JBJ nanocube led pro. The Nano is one sleek light and the controller makes a perfect companion. Easily the best money spent on my tank. The nano XM-L's are mega bright and provide great spread. Sorry for the bad pictures, very hard to capture the way it

All the tanks here look real nice with the Sols and Nano's! True, it is so hard to get the true color of the blue from the leds but its so fun to customize the different sunrise, mid day, sun set and night light settings. Lets not forget the Thunder Storm mode either!

Does any one have the thunder Storm modes enabled on there tanks?

Also what does everyone use for ther light settings throughout the day?

I have thunderstorms enabled @ 20 percent chance of one per day. I'm always experimenting with the colors:). As of right now everything is separated by 10% from lowest( white) to highest (royal blue) I.e. 30/40/50. Trying to find the settings that Roberto_lopes on reefcentral has his SOL blues at. His color on his 300+ sps system is AMAZING ! Keep the posts coming and share your settings and pics folks. Thanks!

REVIEW:

I like the AI Nano for many reasons. The build is very small and sleek, and there is no extra "parts" or "spaces" that are just...."there". Ya know? It is only as big as it needs to be to house all the LED's, fans, driver...etc. TINY! I also like how you get 3 color choices and you can set the values of each one of them to get the exact color you want. The mounting arm is rather cheap looking...but seeing that it is black, you can barely even see it when it is on your tank. There is only 1 wire (2 if you have the controller) and it gets tucked nicely within the arm mount so you see no wires. The fan is quiet as can be and comes on automatically when a certain temperature has been reached. I have had my LED's set up to around 45% and the fan has yet to come on...great little fella! The PAR levels will differ in everyones tank based on flow...I am using a Vortech MP10ES that blows in the center of the tank (where I was taking measurements), and it was on pretty high as well. Overall...I really enjoy the lighting. I wouldn't put this over anything bigger than a 18x18 cube tank.

Lighting Cycle:

Dawn: 11:55am w/ a 30 minute ramp

White: 25

Blue: 40

Royal Blue: 40

Daytime: 1:55pm w/ 180 minute ramp

White: 65

Blue: 80

Royal Blue: 75

Daytime 2: 6:45pm w/ 15 minute ramp time

White: 80

Blue: 75

Royal Blue: 60

Daytime 3: 8:00pm w/ 15 minute ramp time

White: 60

Blue: 80

Royal Blue: 75

Dusk: 9:55pm w/ 60 minute reverse ramp time

White: 0

Blue: 10

Royal Blue: 10

Nighttime: 10:55pm w/ 0 ramp time and lunar cycle on (changes between 0 and max numbers below given the specific day of the week/month)

White: 4 (max)

Blue: 5 (max)

Royal Blue: 3 (max)

I have Thunderstorms set up for 1 storm per day and 40% chance.

Alright, stupid question about to be asked... When I post a pic it shows it all small and it makes it smaller than it actualy is, but I see others post pics at a larger size. I want to post more pics but not how I'm currently doing it. What am I doing wrong???
