Daftboy
Anyone here use it ? I would really like the fast coral growth rate they seem to say it helps with... right now I use instant ocean only because I work at a LFS and I get it for free..LOL.. I have a tub of tropic marin and brightwell in my closet unused...LOL.. i just really don't like using additives.. so a 10% water change is all I like to do Link to comment
ry05coupe
I use the Red Sea coral Pro salt. I like it a lot. Keeps my calcium and magnesium higher than instant ocean with the same weekly water changes (what you would expect) Link to comment
Daftboy
How do you feel about tropic marin / tropic marin pro ... or brightwell.. I have heard good things about them as well.. Link to comment

Personally, I haven't used them. I went with Red Sea based on good reviews, the price, the fast that it isn't all synthetic and because my LFS uses it and has great looking coral growth. 7digits
Tried it and it left a white film all over my mixing barrel. Switched back to instant ocean and added kalk to my ato. Works much better for me. Link to comment

I get a little residue in my mixing trash can but it's not that bad. i clean the can out maybe once a year. Link to comment

Ruester007
can i mix coral pro with instant ocean? just to save a few bucks.... I wouldn't unless you are transitioning from IO to Coral Pro. Why dilute the awesomeness that is Coral Pro? Link to comment

05XRunner
I started using the red sea on this tank once i had it setup. I have done 4 5gal water changes so far with it and it dissolves very fast and crystal clear. I havnt had any issue with any film left on my bucket either. I mix it and it goes in tank right after.
