Milad LEDGroupBuy.com
***UPDATE*** IN STOCK NOW If you haven't heard already, we just released the DIM4 Sunrise/Sunset controller for DIY LEDs. Its designed by an engineer that is also a reefer and LED expert. Its designed to control 4 channels of: 3 CREE XP/XM LED string (@500mA) OR Drivers What does that mean to you? For every channel on the DIM4 (4 channels) you can either have a bunch of drivers on each channel or 3 CREE XP/XM LEDs in a string or fans to cool your heatsinks. If you are just doing the 3 LED strings or fans, you do not need any additional drivers. (Yes! your moonlight issue just got solved) Some examples of configurations: Nano config Channel 1 - 3x CREE XM-L Neutral White Channel 2 - 3x CREE XP-E Royal Blue Channel 3 - 3x CREE XP-E Royal Blue Channel 4 - Blank (Any channel above can also be used for moonlights) (2A Power supply or greater needed) Large tank config Channel 1 - 1x 120w Inventroincs driver for Neutral Whites Channel 2 - 4x 40w Inventroincs driver for Royal Blues Channel 3 - 3x 120mm Fans to cool heatsinks Channel 4 - 3x CREE XM-L Neutral White for moonlights (2A Power supply or greater needed) And..... are you ready for this? NO PROGRAMMING NEEDED. Through the LCD screen you set a 5 things per channel. Max Driver current (for direct driven LEDs), Start time, Full on time, End Full time, Offtime. Through these 5 settings the controller will know when to turn on (Sunrise), when to get to the max (end of the sunrise), when to start dimming (sunset), and when to turn off (end of sunset). This is very different than the arduino based controllers where you have to actually type in code via a computer - no computer needed. If you have questions or comments please post them on this thread so we can get them answered for you. Edited December 19, 2011 by Milad LEDGroupBuy.com Link to comment
Trick
How many amps does each channel run at? Nevermind, just saw it on the website, 500ma. Link to comment

bensanders
Will this work with the TRC drivers that nanotuners sells? Link to comment
Milad LEDGroupBuy.com
Will this work with the TRC drivers that nanotuners sells? If its the DS or DT versions then yes. Inventroincs DS or DT, TRC DS or DT and meanwell ELN series D and meanwell HLG series B. Link to comment
fishnlou
I'm guessing, if you are controlling drivers then instead of setting the max current you set max voltage? There is independent control of each channel right? Link to comment

Paleoreef103
So, you mentioned True Violets, but they're not on your website. I'm assuming that's something that is in the pipe? Link to comment

Im sure most will appreciate it because there have been alot of people waiting for it. FYI if you are just purchasing the DIM4 we stock them so it would be out next day. Link to comment

Will do, along with the LED setup I PMed you about...... Random but my 4th channel will be open do you think it could use it power a fan? Not sure if its even possible this is my fist DIY LED setup That way a fan is operational during the daytime when all the LEDs will be on / hottest Edited September 1, 2011 by MFChop Link to comment

Not sure if its even possible this is my fist DIY LED setup That way a fan is operational during the daytime when all the LEDs will be on / hottest Never thought of that, but ya you could even control the fan. Its basically adjusting 10v on each channel. Fans can run at even 7-8v (I believe, ill have to test this). The lower voltage you run them, the slower they go and the quieter they are. If you just want to run it at full, you can pickup: http://www.ledgroupbuy.com/products/4-pin-...-3-pin-fan.html You can directly plug this into one of our power supplies (5A probably for you) and use one of the ends to connect directly to the controller for its power and the other end to connect to a fan. You will need to set the start on time and full on time very close together for the fan because it will not turn until about 7-8v Link to comment
Milad LEDGroupBuy.com
I was just doing some tests and it looks like most Fans will turn on around 5V and are extremely quiet at 10v and still move alot of air. The DIM4 will handle about 2-3 larger 120mm fans on one channel and more of the smaller ones (500mA max) Link to comment

We had an issue with the manufacturer of the True Violets. We are working with another manufacturer to get them in, we may have them before the end of the Group Buy. Link to comment
