I was hesitant to say anything, not wanting some sort of "laundry detergent will kill everything" sort of response. Hopefully I will order some legit filter socks with my skimmer. In order not to loose any ground to it, I took down my sump, cleaned out the stand and added a 3 coats of killz primer with that is mold and mildew resistant While i had the sump tank out and dry i also added a single baffle in order to keep the water level for my skimmer consistent. Here is the stand painted and the sump propped back in place: Here is the tank setup temporarily with just the heater and powerhead: Still have to wait for the silicone to dry overnight, so I wont be adding water till tomorrow afternoon.
