They do not lock, the groves fit the egg crate but by no means are they hard to remove. The base sites above the egg crate to keep the coral from growing on the egg crate. Plastic? Can you cut them? Do they float? looks cool. Made from PVC so you could cut them. They always sink. Link to comment

inTank Posted May 13, 2011 Author Share Posted May 13, 2011 I always pop my frags off any plug before mounting. It isn't hard if you only use superglue, plus with them being plastic it is even easier than a porous material. If you wanted to use the plug in the tank you can trim away the base of the plug, or drill a hole in the rock (most don't do this) or wedge between two rocks. Link to comment
