urkinduhdorky
Hello guys, I recently got my biocube 29g Media Basket from Intank today, I sent a PM to stevie but just incase hes busy I wanted to ask you guys, I installed today and had filter floss on top and chemi pure in the last chamber, as I put it in, I took out the chamber 2 false floor, now since I got my tank used im not exactly sure if the first chamber false floor has been removed but I can see that it is because the first chamber false floor looks just like chamber 2 right?, my biggest concern is water level, to me it seems as if the water level on my chambers are a bit high because the media basket is sucked in, meaning the water level is above it? I fear that water isn't getting forced in it at all, I took some water out to see if i can get a bit of a water fall going on but as I removed the water level on the main display went low as well. Up to the point it looked like I was doing a water change. What could be the problem, I looked at it to see if it is leveled and my tank is leveld the stand is leveld, its just the main display has less water than the back, I am using maxi jet 1200 by the way. Any advice I appreciate! Link to comment
inTank
For best performance the water level should be just below or at the first shelf of the basket. To adjust add or subtract water from the rear chamber, not the display. These are closed systems so you can control levels directly where you want them to be, even if you turn off the pumps at anytime it will go back to where you want. Link to comment
urkinduhdorky
thanks! but stevie you know how the mediabasket doesn't complete cover all side like theres like half an inch of space left where water can flow? what can i do about that? Link to comment
inTank
Right because of the molding. Thus the stay hold and water director provided http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lMfaYMidV4...player_embedded Link to comment
urkinduhdorky
i figured out the damn problem! its THE DAMN FLOW! i took out my pump and cleaned it, looks like pieces of chaeto got on the power head, as soon as I plugged it the freaking water level of the chambers dropped and the flow was alot better, I just need to superglue the hold piece ! inTank
Awesome! Do you have the blue sponge in chamber two to protect the pump from chaeto? Link to comment
