Hydor Slim Skim Nano Queries

Got a couple of questions on the Hydor Slim Skim Nano for SteveT or anyone that might know.

My tank is 12" deep with the water level at around 11 1/2", so would this work as I noticed the skimmer is 12" but not sure if that measurement includes skimmer cup?

If it would be compatible do you have the measurement for this?

Thanks.

The depth will work fine. The skimmer does not go completely underwater as it has a surface skimmer built in. So if you have it at 11.5 or even 11" it would work fine. I will try and get you the dimension with suction cup later

You can also glue the magnets to the other side of the skimmer if that dimension works better for your application.

Cheers for your swift response StevieT really appreciate it. Really liking the look and reviews of this skimmer, and thanks for looking into the measurements for me.

Thanks for that, it's just too big so would have to mod it and glue magnets on the inside like you suggested in first post. Cheers, Barry

You can take the magnets out of the "suction cups" then they are really flat then. Or you can glue the magnets on the other side of the skimmer, it just depends on what works for your application or the water water needs to flow.

The magnets pop out really easy.

So, question...what is the length from the bottom to the bottom edge of the inlet. And can the skimmer rest on the bottom or does it need to be raised up for the outlet to work. I have about 9.5" of water to work with. Thanks!
