I think I may make a planted tank out of my spare 30B, now that the biocube is broken down.

Rimless, custom all in one... Maybe a mangrove biotope.

Clingfish, seahorses, spotted mandarin, pipefish, or gardensnake eels. Very lightly stocked.

Low intensity lighting. Gorgonians maybe.

No hard coral.

All brown substrate, mostly mud, possibly a DSB. I want it to have a swampy feel to it.

Could you get some salt water swamp (live) mud for me? I want this tank to be dark and grungy, not clean and white like the typical reef.

no, that stuff is protected by the state of florida. florida will let people collect what grows and lives among the substrate but the habitat has to stay intact so no rock, mud sand etc... or activities that harm those things etc...

we used to make it from regular aragonite and the accumulated macro debris and let it cure for a long period but then it required a ton of sifting later and all the water changes etc... just couldnt deliver it at an efficient price and keep it a clean usable product.
