What is the scientific name for...

Hi John (and random nano peeps),

 

I bought these macro algae from you some time in the past and was just wondering if you can give me the scientific name for:

 

1) Red Titan algae

 

2) Rock clinging Sargassum

 

3) Fire fern

1. cryptonemia crenulata depending on what time of year you got it from us, it changes

2. sargassum platycarpum

3. byrothamnion seaforthii - but again it seems this may depend on the time of year, when I looked at it in my book i have a notation "sometimes", so I have to see what that means, but i am going with b. seaforthii for now at least.
