Christopher Marks
It's incredible, it's changed everything. I never use my 60D anymore. I'm in Ocean Beach San Diego for the month, working on practicing street photography. A few good images so far, but mostly it's just been a learning experience. Street photography is like fishing, sometimes you get a big catch, most you should just throw back, and some you keep anyways. The X100 is so quiet and inconspicuous, I've never accomplish these things with my DSLR. It's also aways by my side, carrying my DSLR was a hassle. Christopher Marks
Street photography was more of a curiosity for me, and I was finally in a place that I could practice. My urban landscapes are undoubtedly still my passion and focus, it's just been difficult to get out and shoot here in Phoenix. I only shoot on cloudy days to get the right look, and those are few and far between in the summer, not to mention the 45 days of 110 heat. I was hoping to have more opportunities when I was in San Diego, but it was always sunny inland, and I never really found myself in the right neighborhoods. We did have a rare cloudy day in Phoenix yesterday though, it was only about 95, and I spent a few hours exploring a new area with incredible results. I'll post some from the day soon. One benefit to my street photography practice is that now I can capture some of the bizarre people I encounter on my walks through these sketchy neighborhoods. Yesterday it was a meth addict covered in open sores Link to comment
