davidhogue Posted February 4, 2011 Share Posted February 4, 2011 My chaeto is being ripped a part and pulled into chamber 3. Is the Chaeto suppose to flow on top of the water? Here is my Biocube 29 Setup 1. Removed the bioballs and carbon filter 2. Removed the tab between chambers 1 and 2 3. Removed the tabs between chambers 2 and 3 3. Water level is just under the top of basket. Chamber One Aquatic Life 115 Protein Skimmer Chamber Two Media Basket Top shelf: Filter Floss Middle shelf : Purigen 100ml Bottom shelf: Chemi Pure Elite 11.74oz tied to middle shelf Fuge Basket chaeto Chamber three Hydor Theo 100 Watt Heater Maxi Jet 1200 Powerhead Return Pump Is there a way to keep the Chaeto in fuge Basket? Neya Posted February 4, 2011 Share Posted February 4, 2011 My chaeto began floating also, right before melting away. Whatever made it into the display lived eventually sank and lived - so I think it had more a lot to do with lighting. Link to comment

The problem is not a light issue but with to strong of a suction to the Camber three with Media Basket and Fuge Basket with the recommend filter Media Configuration. The Chaeto was just added yesterday. How are others with both Media Basket with Purigen &: Chemi Pure Elite keeping their macro algae in the Fuge Basket? David Link to comment
